Runyon’s has taken it’s safety goals for COVID-19 even higher and hired National Bio-Defense (NBD) to come in and do a deep cleaning and disinfection using the latest electrostatic technology and EPA-registered hospital grade disinfectant, which is also a no-rinse food contact sanitizer. In fact, it kills 99.999 percent of bacteria commonly found on kitchens surfaces in 60 seconds. Combining this disinfectant with the electrostatic spray technology, NBD provides restaurants and food processors with the best customized total facility sanitization solution available to protect their patrons and staff members. This took several hours with a team of 6 people to do the job and the cleaning agents for NBD used protect the surfaces from viruses they’ve been applied to for up to 3 months.

In addition to the jump start NBD has provided, Runyon’s has intensive daily procedures for maintaining cleanliness and safety.  All personnel have been training in CDC recommended processes for cleaning all surfaces using CDC approved cleaning agents.  All menus are disposable one-use and each table is cleaned after every use.  Public areas and restrooms are frequently cleaned and there is hand sanitizer and paper towels available.
